Our Story

Dr. Debbie Mikhael is the Principal Optometrist at Eyes In Essendon. After graduating with first class honours from La Trobe University as an Orthoptist working alongside numerous Ophthalmologists, Debbie found her passion for eyes.

She then further pursued her professional education at The University of Melbourne by completing the degree of Bachelor of Science and also Bachelor of Optometry.

It was in these early years of practice that Debbie worked extensively at the Royal Children’s Hospital and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

In 2008, Debbie established her own private optometric practice in Brunswick which thrives today in providing the upmost in patient eye care.

Today, Debbie & her husband Michael reside in Essendon with their four young children and have now established Eyes In Essendon, Melbourne’s newest boutique optometry practice.
